Careys, as principal contractor on the Ford Dagenham demolition & remediation project, commissioned the manufacture of a bespoke aggregate and soil engineering plant.

Over the past seven days, employees from across our site and office teams embraced Volunteers' Week by devoting their time and effort towards a range of different charitable causes.

The 30-acre, £1.5bn Elephant and Castle Regeneration in south London represents one of Europe’s largest city centre construction schemes. Once completed, it will offer 3,000 new homes, more than 50 new shops, several restaurants, a new park and significant infrastructure improvements.

The former Ford Stamping and Tooling Operations plant in Dagenham has been a significant part of the economic, social and industrial landscape of the area for over 70 years. Once a substantial provider of employment, housing and infrastructure – this industrial site left its mark on the historical record of the area and became widely known as part of Dagenham’s cultural heritage.
