Careys has recently reached two significant health and safety milestones on the Grousemount Wind Farm project. On this project we are responsible for building 38 wind turbines – on rugged terrain, in frequently extreme weather – at a remote site in Cork, Ireland. In addition, we are also tasked with installing the longest 110-kilovolt, underground grid connection in Ireland. When completed, this will link the 120-megawatt Grousemount Wind Farm to the Ballyvouskill 200-kilovolt substation.

Giving back to the community, Careys Civil Engineering recently completed works on a four-week charity project for Ambition, Aspire and Achieve (AAA), creating a multi-use games area and preparing for the installation of an accessible greenhouse at their play, sports and youth hub, Terence Brown Arc.

The Careys team at No.1 Palace Street celebrated the Topping Out Ceremony as the superstructure of the building was recently completed.

Transforming the former brownfield site at Barking Riverside, Careys has been appointed Principal Contractor, delivering a range of infrastructure works at the 443-acre development. Crafting a new community comprised of 10,400 homes and 65,000m2 of commercial space, the new development will create seven new schools, public realm, a new train station along with bus and river interchanges.
